@allpurposemat@mastodon.gamedev.place I can see one actual reply. As I'm on a single-user instance, I still have a habit of opening posts' "original page" in a browser tab, on their source instance where's usually the most complete version of all the replies, uninfluenced by any potential blocks, mutes, defederations etc.

@m4iler@infosec.exchange Jasně, technicky to půjde obejít, ale pro běžné lidi to bude čím dál složitější. Hlavně je ale distopický ten trend postupné kriminalizace soukromí, anonymity a softwarové svobody. @iurecz@witter.cz

The current implementation will ensure #Europe's lock into #Google Android and #Apple iOS. Not a single journalist asked her about that at the press conference.

Everybody should let their banks know they will move their money elsewhere if the banks keep trying to lock them into the US mobile duopoly.
You may not want to switch to a different operating system now but you might need to (even suddenly) in the future and this is the biggest blocker for many.

Mandating "chat control" would mean that anything that allows end-to-end encrypted communication between people would become illegal. What about the non-EU versions that won't comply? @ancientpixel @scottjenson Unfortunately, the hashtag following is a new feature in 4.0 which release-candidate version is deployed on the 2 flagship instances managed by the main Mastodon developer (mastodon.social and .online). So anyone running on the stable releases will likely have a different experience. I don't know how it behaves in the version, yet. :/
