By making something, anything, no matter how garbage it is, you are creating something - an act of living. You can call it "training to get better" or "emotional support art" - but what it is is deeply human. You are carving "Croatoan" in to the bark of your own tree. Sure professionally perhaps its different - its just that art should be made with passion, skill is secondary.

Reading two interviews one about tech-gazillionnaire Bryan Johnson who doesn't want to die and spends huge amounts of cash in what is obviously a fear of death (and therefor life). Including injecting teenagers blood. Then one about a 93 year old woman Kickan Bergman in Sweden who likes to train, eat plenty of fruits and veg, and a couple too many glasses of wine for dinner and is active in her local community as a way to stay fit. One of them describe death as a "failure" and its not Kickan

I've posted about it before, I know, but it deserves to be told over and over. Little kids are little kids no matter what. His stick figures and doodles and writing exercises are the same as any little kid now, across the planet. My heart beats extra when I think of the majestic idea that I am looking over the shoulder of a little kid slacking off in class 800 years ago and he is identical to all kids now living, everywhere.

Again, when feeling down - another tactic is reading up on things I adore. Onfim is one of them. He was a little boy about 7 years old, 800 years ago in Novgorod who was a bit cheeky and used the birch bark note paper ment for class to doodle. As birch bark doesn't dissolve in clay many of his notes are left to posterity. Like him drawing himself as a monster spewing fire with the text: "I am a wild beast!" next to it. Or a knight. Everytime I feel a bit down, I read about good folks doing good things surrounded by good people helping them. Loving v Virginia is a thing like that. A couple where the husband was white, the wife First Nation and black, fought against the laws in their home state Virginia against interracial marriage and won. Mildred Loving, being an absolute queen also issued a statement in support of samesex marriage in the US before passing onward in 2008.

15 years ago today the Utøya massacre happened, the single largest terrorist hit in the Nordic Countries. Where human shit-stain Breivik murdered 77 and injured over 300 people, many of whom kids. At first the terror "expert" Ramstorp went out to inform people that it was obviously Al-Qaida, that was until they learned who the perpetrator was at which point the entire thing was described differently: "tragedy", "nightmare" and the killer wasn't a "terrorist" he was a "murderer".

The fantasy that men and boys are not victims of sexist patriarchal power structures is to me a cruelty beyond words. The dream that they are a simple boogie-man in full control is just sexism. Again, Connor was a grown man and while that's sad he had outs. The boys he influenced do not. And those boys growing up in a society that applauds self harm when boys do it aren't helped by the Hollywood logic of a simple bad guy to beat to solve an issue.

These are men and boys willingly poisoning themselves because they think that unless they do that they are not worthy of love. Same exist in anorexia communities. But since black pill groups are so toxic, we often miss the fact that the people they try to influence aren't grownen like Connor but boys who are taught that self harm and self hatred is the only path forward to deserve or be capable of feeling love.

A looks-maxxing influencer passed away in Thailand yesterday. Connor Murphy acted erratic and rushed in to sea leaving a ruined apartment behind him. And that is looks-maxxing, a barely separate ideology from black pill sexism where you are a failure as a man and the only way to fix it is a cocktail of testo, steroids and (no lie) meth and more. Its self harm at its purest. Yes the people doing it are pretending to do it for ideals and more but so does others in other groups.

And "pissmyra" is a word for "fire ants" literally meaning "piss ants" or "ettermyra" in Swedish or specifically the species Myrmica Rubra "Pissmyra" is colloquial and something you said about those ants as a kid

I further think that as a feminist that the comedy that we ( me included, no judgement) find in his pain is a sign that for for men, we have yet to inspect, criticize and work towards ending gender roles and their oppressions. I know he's a "redpilled" idiot, but I keep thinking about him. A 20 year old boy harming himself irreparably in a grail-like hopeless attempt to feel loved, or worthy of love.

First time being totally star struck by proxy. A guy we did a move for was friends with Elisabeth Ohlson Wallin who's exhibition of Biblical scenes with LGBTQ people got the Swedish church in a spat with the Vatican back in the day.
This guy was also in Wallin's trans exhibition as part of the Caravaggio inspired painting "The Doubter" (he's the guy in the red sweater) and had a print of it.
