I have now got booting from NVME working on the #RaspberryPi #RPi5 on @fedora@fosstodon.org #F44, should make it stable just before freeze. I think I have a couple of #bugs I'm hoping to fix before we go to GA. I think initial support for CM5 and RPi500 will be next. What else do people want?
So it seems everyone loved the #PiDay #RaspberryPi @fedora@fosstodon.org images of #f44 for the #RPi5 as the blog has had well over 3500 hits in 36 hours and 500 odd downloads of the images and we even even hit well up on hacker news! I have a few more things to try and get working before the freeze for 44 as time permits. What do people like the most? What needs polish?
Happy #piDay day everyone! Here's some nice @fedora@fosstodon.org 44 images of @gnome@floss.social and @kde@floss.social and Minimal running on the #raspberryPi 5! Details in the blog post https://nullr0ute.com/2026/03/fedora-44-on-the-raspberry-pi-5/
There will be further updates as we go towards the final #Fedora44
A #raspberryPi #RPi5 running @fedora@fosstodon.org 44 #KDE Edition! Why don't mind if I do! It's getting closer! And yes, that's 3 different RPi5's in front of the screen for my various testing!
Oh, is that a #RaspberryPi 5 revD board also booting @fedora@fosstodon.org 44? Is it #piday just around the corner? 🤔
Another one bites the dust, and then another one bites the dust.... two more bugs worked out on the way towards #RaspberryPi 5 support in @fedora@fosstodon.org !
Just (well last night) worked out a blocker issue for #RaspberryPi 5 accelerated graphics support on @fedora@fosstodon.org and I'm a little excited as it was one of the big blockers in moving #RPi5 support forward! Let's hope I can work out the proper fix RSN!
With #BOSE sunsetting their #SoundTouch speaker there's some talk of them open sourcing them! Which sounds like good news, but as far as I can tell they're opening up the API to communicate with them, not the SW that's running on them, how do people fix CVEs? An open API is a good start, but did I miss something?
