@jredlund@social.linux.pizza @readit@mastodon.social @bookstodon@fedigroups.social its indeed a great piece to show students, I'm sure it will be very evocative for them. Grammar is not the issue, bucking grammar can be a powerful tool. I just think the imagery is poor and its not stream of consciousness to me, its just non-sequitur. Also, a powerful tool if used with a specific aim. However, this is not using these tools intentionally. I find this misuse betrays the world and characters it is trying to build. It honestly reads like ai to me.

We all relate to art differently, so if you love this, im earnestly glad about that. But, this is to say, does anyone think this is a good poem? The form is fun and fairly novel, which humans love. But the writing is actively bad. Or is it just me? I may just be the dick in the room lol

@MrLovenstein a reminder (that i need all the time) to all of us with regrets...that we feel that way is a sign of growth. It's a sign we have learned. We did shitty things, but we learned and grew. That is indicative of our willingness to be better. It's ok that you did shitty things, as long as we learn from them and become less shitty in the denoument. Hugs to all of us going through it! You are just human, and that's beautiful.
