@monoxyd Ich nuzte Mac seit 25+ Jahren, hatte zwar auch immer eine Linux box irgendwo, aber diese nie als "daily driver" genutzt. Vor einigen Monaten habe ich KDE neon mit Plasma Desktop auf einem refurbished 150 Euro HP Elitebook installiert, seitdem ist das mein "daily driver". Aus meiner Sicht ist der aktuelle Stand von Plasma ein UX/UI gamechanger für Linux, fühlt sich modern an und in jeder Ecke ist die Detailverliebtheit für gute UX/UI von macOS aus vergangenen Zeiten zu spüren.

Font rendering im UI ist ebenfalls zum ersten mal gleichauf mit macOS, ein Aspekt der mich in der Vergangenheit bei Linux Desktops immer sehr gestört hat. Wenn es also dein Software Profil erlaubt würde ich Linux auf jeden Fall eine Chance geben. Die HP Elitebooks sind vom Hardware look&feel vergleichbar mit Apple und sehr günstig refurbished vefügbar. https://neon.kde.org/

@nuts Schon mal eine für Längsschnitt geschliffene Kette getestet? Damit läuft die Säge dann viel ruhiger im Holz und reisst nicht so. Diese Ketten sind mit 10 statt 30 Grad geschliffen.

@Techaltar@mas.to IMO the empirical evidence for option B can't be ignored. I don't think that the tech bros, except a few that are really lost to religious fervor, are to dumb to understand that it is useless, they just can't act on that knowledge because that would pop the bubble. Trivial insight, I know. Notably the few that do speak up note that the central problem of hallucinations can't be fixed with the current approach. I have read statements to that effect out of the Meta and Google camp.
