The western view is that if no ancient part remains, the object is a replica, but I see Old Athens and modern Wikipedists have another view. Nice metareference.

@rra@post.lurk.org @teclista@mas.to Ooh. I did edit in Enciclopedia Libre Universal, when at the same time I edited Wikipedia. I had no idea about the strije, maybe I came late and lost it. My idea at that time —which I shared with members of both project, without luck— was making Enciclopedia Libre a simpler version of wikipedia, so children could understand it.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange Lory M Olson from dragonruby showed a similar opinion in her newsletter some months ago. It was like "think that, when all those high tech companies fire 50% of their employees, tech vacancies will start to appear on small companies, but with smaller salaries."

@ce@grimgreenfo.rest Well, it is not "free as in free beer", but "free as in freedom". Freedom has a price. I understand the post by @gamingonlinux@mastodon.social was just a joke, but think: it DOES open bussiness opportunities for companies forking that source. In fact, there are many software products that are crippled when free (as free-beer) version is downloaded from Play Store, but fully functional when compiled from Github or downloaded from F-Droid.

1. It could be just a warning.
2. If it is FOSS, you can remove that warning if you want. Just delete a line and re-compile. It's with non-FOSS prograns when you have version Issues.

@vmaderna@mastodon.art I really love your work, but I will never shop again in Imprnt, sorry. Their shipping company DHL charged me the VAT I already paid on the shop. (I'm unsure about this being a rogue DHL employee, since he gave me no receipt but, as DHL company did not reply my support request, I will simply boycott both Imprnt and DHL).
