Is there a particular type I should look for, or just whatever is on sale at the hardware store? I normally just play through to unlock everything and reach "Perfection" (though I'll buy perfection certificates for the stuff like fishing and crafting). I also play with a TON of mods and explore new areas and villagers stories each time. I'm also not afraid to use a cheat mod for the stuff that feels too grindy. Consistently I get bored about the end of year 3 when I've done most of what I want to do, but that still takes me a couple weeks of addiction.

Not that I have any intention of going back to my hometown ever again, but I do find myself a bit curious just how many of my high school class have come out as queer ever since. At the time, there was exactly zero openly gay students. But out of a few hundred people, odds are good that a dozen or so are. I wonder who they are.

I think it was supposed to stop kids from smoking in the bathroom or something, but in actuality, it just meant only kids with a lot of self confidence pooped. Everyone else used other bathrooms.

I wish I could come up with a good way to make it so any money above a threshold automatically got invested into something that would take at least a few hours, or up to a day to cash out. I'm trying to think of how even if an attacker popped my whole password vault that they couldn't steal more than a month's worth of expenses. But all the things I can think of would require manually moving money around every paycheck, and I'm just not going to remember to do that. Yes, I have MFA everywhere and such, but those can get popped too.

@foone@digipres.club I finally gave up on running monitors and network through the KVM. Now I just do a simple 4 port USB switch for my mouse, keyboard, webcam, speakers, and hardware token. My monitors have 4 ports on them anyways.

@alice@mk.nyaa.place It can depend a lot on what guild too. Some are super casual, but others are at least attempting to be competitive. Way back in the Burning Crusade days of WoW, I started getting in trouble at work showing up late because I'd been up super late at night trying to beat a raid boss with the guild ... Finally I went home for Christmas one year, so I'd taken a couple weeks off from raiding, and just decided not to log in anymore. I feel a bit bad for ghosting my guild, but I just didn't want to get sucked back in.

@alice@mk.nyaa.place The worst for me is when I get into a guild who is always pushing me to keep playing. Without that, the gameplay grind loop only lasts so long. Diablo 4 can suck me in for a few weeks per season, get a character or two up to max level with decent end game gear for a cool build working, and then I'm done with it when it comes to min-maxing.
