@deinol@dice.camp This really sucks to hear. I've been wanting to swap from D&D to Pathfinder more due to a number of actions from Wizards the past few years. Feels much harder to find events for though. The post itself is a refreshing change of the usual corporate BS on reasons for layoffs. It feels like it was written by actual humans. Might see if there's an extra book I want to pickup at all.

@projectgus@aus.social @pl@mastodon.social I did find the following in Vanadiums feature list. So not sure why it shows it as valid. "Nearly all remote services disabled by default or removed. Only connects to GrapheneOS servers by default. There are only 2 default services: component updates such as certificate authority and certificate revocation updates and DNS-over-HTTPS connectivity checks when enabled"

@projectgus@aus.social @pl@mastodon.social just tried Play Store Firefox on my GrapheneOS (no Play Sevices) and I do get the cert error too. Wonder if Fennec doesn't include the cert revocation list downloads.

@pl@mastodon.social I just tried on both Fennec and Vanadium with GrapheneOS and no cert errors for me.

@governorkeagan@infosec.exchange I should mention that given Signal doesn't natively support UnifiedPush there is a second component which needs to run persistently on some other computer. It's what persistently listens for new Signal activity for you and then converts it into a UnifiedPush notification to be sent to your phone. I've got a home server I run that on, so that's not a particularly big deal for me. But certainly adds a level of complexity around it.

@governorkeagan@infosec.exchange With UnifiedPush properly setup, Molly doesn't need to run in the background unrestricted. Instead your UnifiedPush distributor (I use ntfy) runs in the background to pickup push notifications for all apps. When it gets one, it'll wake up the app to do something. I don't think I've changed any of the settings around password reminders. I keep all those secure in my password manager, so I'm not particularly concerned about forgetting them.

@governorkeagan@infosec.exchange I use Molly due to their UnifiedPush support for notifications. I don't have Google Play Services installed at all and several other apps of mine are using UnifiedPush already. So that gives me his notification support without having to leave it running in the background constantly.

@iguana09863@mastodon.social @mollyim@fosstodon.org I'm using it with GrapheneOS and no play services installed. Works like a charm.
