My special interest is programming, which is also my career. I am married to a wonderful, beautiful woman who is also #AuDHD. We are parents to some amazing humans, and many many amazing animals.

If I feel a fingernail snag on something, even if I pull my hand away and know I can avoid doing it again, I can't stop thinking about it until I either cut or file the nail, or start chewing on it. Once I feel that I HAVE to resolve it.

@Elvenby@tech.lgbt @actuallyautistic@a.gup.pe Fingernails are a massive source of anxiety for me! When they get too long I feel them on everything, and it causes a constant fear of them breaking (my nails are very brittle.) I've been trying really hard to get into the habit of going to a nail salon every few weeks to get a manicure, with hard gel to help protect them. When I do this it helps keep me from biting them, helps avoid breaking them, and keeps them at a length that they don't bother me. Oh, and it helps keep the edge smooth, because nothing is harder to deal with than a nail snagging on clothing. That is absolutely unbearable, and always results in biting them until they are way way too short. Fingernails are just horrible.

It worked well considering the round shape of the ones I have. Although, now we are hoping to sell soon so I may have to replace the doors.
