i think it would be cool if there were mammals with the life cycle of ferns and if there were ferns with the life cycle of mammals

i love secular pluralism and think it is wonderful to have societies which can neutrally accommodate religious differences, including non-belief, and i am perpetually unhappy about my province pretending to become "more secular" by instituting anti-religious policies which unsurprisingly are unevenly applied.

@luce-anon@brain.worm.pink @lizzie@brain.worm.pink there are programmed quakers who do things like communion or even baptism—actually there are a lot of them—but the traditional quaker argument is that, for the soul who is open to the Holy Spirit, all the outward signs of creation can be full of God's inward grace, and to one who is not like this, no ritual has any effect and Jesus did not intend to institute rote ordinances of this kind
