@melvian Been there. :/ I've found that a physical hobby is generally very helpful. Just getting away from the screens entirely. In my case, I've been studying bookbinding and leatherworking to make a custom journal :D

@melvian If I may attempt an unsolicited peptalk...
I would argue that that's not true of anyone. Oftentimes things you think are normal, cookie-cutter occurances are actually quite unique. (I have not been sat on by a lizard before, but just saw a post here with someone thinking everyone had)
Surely you've endured your own share of hardships that have shaped you into the person you are today. Those are uniquely yours. Maybe they're similar to others. This does not reduce their value to your story.
