@ahimsa_pdx@disabled.social basically, I feel like those of us with these disabilities need non disabled folks to freaking mind their own business. no one should have to explain the nature of a complicated medical history to those assholes out there who decide to judge who needs assistive technology and when. We have let the basic fundamental reality slip, whether it’s this issue or anti trans bullshit: it’s no one else’s fing business.

@ahimsa_pdx@disabled.social And if I am traveling, and need to cover a long distance at say, an airport, I use a chair sometimes if I’m afraid i will run out of juice on the other side. I’m sure there are lots of folks who do. Also, malls, I sometimes need one. It’s a balancing act for me, because I suffer from fatigue, pain and nausea. And sometimes being pushed in a chair, which helps my fatigue and pain, may make nausea worse for me. #spoonie #InvisibleDisabilities #rheumatoidarthritis

@ahimsa_pdx@disabled.social I sometimes need one, I have RA. for the past three years, I’ve been okay without it due to a newer medication, but, this will be the sixth medication I’ve been on, and I’m developing side effects that will likely mean I must switch again, and I will be back in one again, I imagine. It’s hit or miss. I also have a cane I use more frequently, but again, more often than not, I don’t need it, on this medication…. I use it mainly at night to get to the bathroom.
