@targea_caramar@sunny.garden I've spent most of my life with people of varying ages, one of the things I appreciate is continuing to find out about interesting things and new perspectives. Humans of any age are happy to share the things that they like, if your interest is genuine. So ask questions or actively listen and encourage. I find a "hey, that's cool!" followed by a follow-up invitation works well. Like: "Can you show me?" or "what are you going to do next with that?" or a slightly more specific question about the thing. Hope this sparks some ideas.

You know what I miss? Real humans sharing cool stuff they admire with other humans, not just allowing the feed to hopefully serve it up to you.

I'm thinking about a weekly "cool thing I liked" post. Think song, video, book, article, art, etc.

Is there a Mastodon hashtag for this? Still finding my way in this subculture.
