The reason people don't use files is not because they are stupid or that designers think they are stupid. It is because files are a bad universal abstraction for the way we use the computer in 2026. File extensions are stupid. Hierarchical file systems are bad for organization. The boundaries between files are often unclear. A new file for each piece of data can be orders of magnitude less efficient computationally. We need to make something better, not push people to use something bad. Thanks.

Why let users disable JavaScript, but not HTML or CSS?

When CSS is disabled, you can simply make your buttons say "I'm being hovered!"

Without HTML, you politely ask the user to pretend to have clicked this [Button]

@deobald@fantastic.earth Ah, that’d be great! I wanted to distribute on iOS but making a developer account wasn’t financially worthwhile. I have a paid Google developer account with only this app (and no intention of using it in the future), so I could contribute that :D

I had bigger ambitions with the project than I could fulfill without a more powerful Dart image library, and I do not have a personal use-case for it anymore. The code is well-architected and documented (from what I can remember), without any bugs that I am aware of.
