I thought AIs over use of em-dash was a joke/meme, but I just discovered that the comments in our robots.txt now contains an em dash because the script to update it was written with ai.
Ironically the comment says "AI crawler - training and scraping", followed by a lot of disallows.

Trying to read some Swedish news (as a Norwegian), and while understanding spoken Swedish is pretty straight forward, reading Swedish makes me wonder if we shouldn't send a large team of speech and language therapists over the border.

I miss the time monitoring didn't suck.
It used to be if I wanted to read a log I just logged on to the server and *read the log*, now you MAY still have it in kuberbetes, possibly, or it may be in elastic, in which case you need to search for it and read it merged with every other log, in reverse, and the actual log messages are so trash that they make me miss Java stack traces.
And then you have alerting. I mean, you mostly don't, but in theory you do, but it all sucks.

So we have "opt in" so you have to explicitly say yes
Then we have "opt out", where you can take steps to say no
Then you have "nag in", the new popular solution where where you're given a choice you probably don't have any good reason to go a long with, but you will be nagged on regular intervals until you either give in, or click accept by accident. And every time you say no, you need to scroll through a vast set of identical-sounding variations of the same question.
