@eniko @sinvega no that's absolutely true, it's just a bodge to use rp to paper over a system that doesn't incentivize behaving in a way that might make sense (which isn't to say that's unique to dnd, all systems are going to have abstractions & assumptions)

@sinvega @eniko it's not sharing skills/knowledge in a durable sense, but there's the help action, which flavoured right can be "hey why don't you have a go? you got this, remember what I showed you etc."

@mogwai_poet I did try to upload yours here using their identify function and it didn't find it, but there are a lot of them there if you have time to kill and want to try to find it (or something from the same game). Draughtman's Contract is explicitly that in that some shots are meant to recapitulate the composition of certain paintings (which I don't have the art history to identify, but you can kind of tell nonetheless because the main dude is after all a draughtsman)

@v@merveilles.town The Falls is kind of for sicko mode Greenaway fans, this is a quote about it from the man himself: "It was three and a half hours long, extremely boring and really sort of test people's patience...It's an ambulatory journey to be taken a little at a time, perhaps to be fast-forwarded through if and when the viewer chooses. Certainly, there's no insistence on my behalf that people should feel the obligation to watch it all the way through at a single sitting."

@v@merveilles.town I'm a big fan of the early Greenaway. He loses me a bit around 8&1/2 women/Tulse Luper (though I did catch the later Rembrant's J'accuse which I liked)
