I've been thinking about using a self hosted private book tracking tool in the vein of Goodreads and StoryGraph, and am looking for recommendations and pros/cons of the apps out there. I've heard about BookLogr, Bibliotheca, and Jelu. Import from StoryGraph would be great and syncing with KoReader would be useful. @joel Oh, good find! I really like koreader, but I wouldn't say 'pretty' is a word that comes to mind when I pick up my kobo since installing it. I'll have to to this.

@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social some very brief initial reactions. The site seems very slow right now. Badges, points and things like that are annoying but easy to ignore. The lists, quests and side quests could be fun though, discussions seem friendly from what I saw, I assume they have some sort of moderation going. It looks very focused on actually reading, recs and talking about your books. Which is what most readers probably want. I think stats can be fun, but they aren't important to me. Promising

@TarkabarkaHolgy@ohai.social This is the first I heard of it, so no real thoughts yet. Looks a little too gamified for my tastes, with badges and quests and whatnot. But I like that they seem to focus more on discussing than on tracking stats. Guess I'll sign up and give it a try. I've been using Storygraph for a few years, but only for tracking.
