Big government and big business are mutually reinforcing. They love each other. And so long as people don't recognise this, nothing will change. We can't beg governments to save us from evil corporations because governments are in bed with these evil corporations.

See how EU politicians keep resurrecting Chat Control no matter how many times people say they don't want it. Politicians only care about staying in power. Mass surveillance is a natural outgrowth of that. And if private companies collect data for them, all the better. No need to get a warrant. So they let corporations spy on us. Even pay them to build more spyware (Palantir, Flock etc).
