Just got an email from ebay about a safety issue on something I ordered 12 years ago... neodymium magnets. They removed the listing because theyre a choking hazard and magnetic.
I'm pretty sure the 50 or so are embedded in various projects at this point. I'm not swallowing any of them.

I figured out what the device was... PC-3000 Spider Board. This wouldn't work in my situation as the pads I need to access are in the middle of a board.
I'll probably just solder some jumper wires to the tiny pads and work from that. If I could get my eyes to cooperate today, cannot get them to focus on anything, so looking at a tiny pad is not going to help much. A tomorrow project.

I 3D printed a BDM Frame (something like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/177795556850) and used the probes with pogo pins on, but every time I breath on the frame, the pins jump off their pads. There's no good solid way to keep them in place.
I'm close to just soldering on some wires, but if there's a better options. I'm all ears.
For folks that do electronics and/or hardware hacking, firmware extraction, and similar, what's the name of the device that has the pins that you can position and screw down to connect to test pads to extract firmware?
I'm trying to reflash the firmware on an Empora Vue 3 that had a bad install of esphome causing it to go AWOL. I had no issues before and I cannot remember how I did it (I think I 3d printed a jig but I cannot find it).
Tweaking my personal mail server to not run through a third party. GMail immediately sends test message to spam because "the subject matches others we've had marked as spam in the past".
Maaaaybe the one that was just titled "Test", but I am thinking not for the one titled "DKIM, DMARC, and SPF Test 17"
I'd love to meet the folks that design bathrooms for hotels. I've not stayed in a hotel with a well thought out bathroom in forever.
Just got back from a weekend trip to Spain for a conference. The hotel bathroom was... odd. Shower had glass door that only covered 2/3rd. So you spray the floor as you're showering.
The door had a pull handle on both sides, but was open outwards only. That also means that when you open it, all the water dumps on the ground as well.

Along with them blaming the tool and backup details "buried in the documentation". So, uh... did you not notice them in the same storage volume? Did you not test restores? Did you not validate why they were there and how to move them?
And then there was the production API keys in an environment accessible from staging. Meaning they have no environmental separation. It's all just a big dev environment they slapped labels on to feel better.

Recently jumped from my insurance company and dropped to about 1/3rd the cost with better coverage. A month later the old insurance company sent a letter offering a new rate, close to the new company. If they could offer that, why didn't they as an existing customer?
This applies to cell phones, home and business internet, TV services, and insurance (home and auto).

@wolf480pl @mikesiegel Dell's ReadyRails are nice, used those plenty. Even so, there is a limit to how adjustable they are, same for most rail kits. Even more impactful when you have deeper racks.
I had to mount an older Citrix SDX. The rails could extend to about 30.5", mounting in a 29" deep rack. With the /dev/null devices had to fight to get the end of the rails around the bolts.
Don't get me wrong, they're very cool just some caveats. I have the rack studs in a shopping list to try, too.

@wolf480pl @mikesiegel I've used patchbox's similar version (/dev/mount). While they do work nice, the issue you tend to have with them with is rails tend to be of fixed length, and often don't have enough space to pull an inch+ longer than designed, so you can never get the rails on the post properly.
At least with the patchbox version, the bolt is welded onto the bracket. If you accidentally turn too hard, you can shear the weld and you just end up with a spinning bolt you cannot get out.
