@wtrmt@mastodon.social @root42@chaos.social Sequoia added a setting in the Mac App Store to install apps larger than 1 GB to a an external disk: https://support.apple.com/guide/app-store/download-install-large-apps-a-separate-disk-fir06754f864/mac Haven't tested it but from what I understand, it creates all the necessary folders (Applications, Library and so on) on the disk automatically.

@sodiboo@gaysex.cloud @rileytestut@mastodon.social Oh right, I forgot about Gboard on Android. I never use the extra features beyond swipe typing. I didn't know about CopyLog. I've been using Paste (https://pasteapp.io) on macOS since 2018 and the design seems like a 1-to-1 copy 😅

@rustoleumlove@mastodon.online @derekmorr@mastodon.social From my understanding, Signal's push notifications just act as a way to wake up the device. Then, the app fetches the encrypted content from Signal's server, decrypt it locally, and generate a local notification with the decrypted content.
