@hilljam@mastodon.social YES this has been my experience on Twitter as well: following people is fine but as soon as you try to interact with high-traffic people, you are usually ignored or only 'liked', which is an entirely empty reaction. Also: counting likes, retweets etc., just makes your monkey brain focus on the numbers. Here, there is entirely no pressure, and REAL interaction.
