@kakape@mas.to If the fatality rate of a disease is 20 - 50% and human to human transmission already happened I struggle to understand how the decision on how to handle it is not unequivocal. Of course all passengers and crew members of the ship and every person they got in touch with must be held in strict quarantine for as long as necessary in order to find out whether they have acquired the virus or not. How can there be any discussion about it amongst scientists and public health experts?

Does anyone here know why Saudi-Arabia especially has not yet built the infrastructure to ship their oil from its West coast?

It's been almost half a century now after the Islamic Revolution in Iran which turned that state into an almost constant troublemaker and therefore making the Strait of Hormuz a liability?

@mrtoto Die CDU versteht / verkauft sich (schon immer) als Volkspartei. Was in erster Linie bedeutet, dass sie sich in ihren (vorgeblichen?) Zielen an dem orientiert, was sie als aktuelle Mehrheitsmeinung wahrnimmt. Ihre Priorität ist es nicht zu gestalten, sondern an der Macht zu bleiben. Die Beispiele dafür in ihrer Geschichte sind zahlreich. Und Herr Voigt hat sich als rhetorisch ziemlich guter Vertreter dieser Linie präsentiert. Insofern keine Überraschung. @lagedernation
