One discursive thing about Japanese I find interesting is that people often announce the type of speech they are about to do
for example, in my stand up at work the project manager always opens with "I would like to begin the daily meeting now"
or when a news segment begins it often opens with "I will now communicate the news"
Similarly the meeting ends with "Then, for today I would like to conclude the daily meeting. Thank you." and for the news, "This concludes the daily news"

Went out to an area called Minami Ozawa doing no prior research and walked around aimlessly, maybe for 30 minutes. Found a cool path through a small forest, then went back home lol. It helped just to hear the whirring of cicadas

It's hard to find burger buns, so I tried making my own. I can do most other kinds of cooking and baking, but I am bad specifically at bread. Kneading is not my forte and the dough always seems to get kinda fucked up, sticking to my hands.
This is a (soy) burger made with my first batch. I think I can improve at this...

Finished the novel Yesteryear (audiobook). Even though it's quite long I mowed through it in like three days. Reading reviews afterwards, the criticisms are definitely valid, but I enjoyed it. Being able to hold my interest gets major points from me lol
My gyms closed all this month, so I have to go to a further out location, but just that slightly higher hurdle has been making me too lazy to do it on lunch break
