@tastapod IME it’s been inconsistent in practice so I remain on delta by default with an alias to swap to difft when I remember or think it’ll do better

@katiefenn I think if I was going to do it I’d try and make it to Kirk edge from winnats - maybe even be at Whaley too first. but I’ll probably just try and take Cameron somewhere instead

@katiefenn because of the way they’re looping it’s potentially possible to do winnats and then make it to another point I expect a lot of cyclists will be trying to do the same too

@katiefenn ah, very much agree with you there Fundamentals have always been timeless IME, and my experience with LLMs doesn’t change my opinion much. The same is probably true of JS frameworks too tbh - anything so great that it has to be adopted widely will alsmot by definition be easy for an experienced developer to pick up

@katiefenn what’s even more wild is that if the tools do what people are claiming (which IME they mostly do), then adopting the tools is actually trivial - and more so as they get better. But what they still lack is taste and direction - which is what skilled humans are needed for!

@mitsuhiko I think for a while now the bottleneck is going to be in maintaining the coherence of system (assuming we get past individual PR review) Maybe we’ll actually get to be ivory tower architects
