@sean_ae@post.lurk.org oh cool, thanks for sharing that. Interesting that the reverb is pitched (poly). I'd assumed it was freezing the polyphonic synth input or something (those few notes played at the very start, for example).
Nice tip, removing noise from the input (instead of lowpass post-reverb, which is my habit).

I love pendulu hvmoda, great dynamics to it. Curious about your approach to the verb there? Is there resynthesis happening there too?
Do you mean Hetrick doesn't mention the pitch stuff happening in pendulu or in the plugin? (They talk briefly about the spectral/pitch detection earlier in the vid.)
My Tails trial just today ran out so I'll take that as a sign to try design something

@sean_ae@post.lurk.org cheers, transient detection is one part but also STFT "which prioritizes frequency deviations and tonal changes...the spectral analyzer registers the shifted frequency bands and identifies it as a note change." You can choose transient or spectral detection, or mix between the two. The spectral part is hit and miss ime so far.
The reverb swapping also sounds too ducky/clunky , so I'd want to make that swapping smoother.
I haven't tried using midi note messages to control it yet.

For a while I've been thinking about patching something that would do what Tails does. I like the plugin but it's awkward, and the analysis stage seems undercooked. Does anyone have an alt solution? @c_reider@sonomu.club Ive no idea really! It was a small "festival" in a squatted monastery in Normandy, France. There were only a couple hundred people there, including artists, because of a french fuel strike, and I didn't know who he was. The guy who organised it (Phil from Law&Auder) spoke highly of him though. Idk, everyone there was nice. A few of the people who worked on the Pro 2/12 also worked on the 3rd Wave, which was the main reason I wanted one: really nice UI and mod matrix, but top sound too.
