@sil I've solved it by wearing my (prescription) sunglasses more. I used to not use them as much, but have a lot more lately (and headaches have gone down a bit). I have a box/container to switch indoor to outdoor glasses too. (And one for my computer glasses, which are for focusing on monitor distance or so.) I set it in a basket near the front door that has my keys and wallet and other pocketable to-bring stuff. (Perhaps I should get transition glasses the next time around. 🤔)

@hbons Same! I still have a ~/Source/ but that's for other people's projects, and ~/Projects/ has been for my own, both code and otherwise (video, work projects, etc.), so having this be official is so great.

I looked around on the FOSDEM hashtag for CO2 measurements. This was the "winner" at 5324 PPM: https://toot.cat/@aki/11599K1212452942114 But it's already really bad at 2376 PPM: https://meshed.cloud/@webmink/115990298940006193 and around 3600 PPM https://bsd.network/@ttyS1/115994647276301429 For context, I've attached illustrations on what this means for general health (headaches, dizziness, etc.) and virus transmission (COVID and flu/cold/etc.). They're all way, way too high. FOSDEM needs better ventilation, such as opening a window. #FOSDEM

#FOSDEM recommends masks and has them available for free for anyone who asks. 🎉

If you're at FOSDEM in person and don't have a mask yet, go get one!

You don't have to use a mask all the time, but the more you use it, the more you're protecting yourself (and possibly others).

It makes lots of sense indoors whenever you're surrounded by a crowd. (Which is most of FOSDEM.)

The health of people in FOSS is important. Everyone in person plays a part in it. Masks help.

@devolute@mastodon.social @chriswood@mastodon.design I've tried a bunch of native clients over the years, including Geary from time to time, but I generally use web mail these days, when I even use email. I usually use other means of communications other than email these days, as do people I communicate with. Various chat platforms for work and personal communication. Issue trackers for work related things as well. Email is more of a fallback. It's probably due to the overwhelming volume of mail overall, including spam.

It is the nicest lightweight email client on Linux and integrates with GNOME. https://flathub.org/apps/org.gnome.Geary (It's powered by Evolution libraries behind the scenes, but has a lighter, more modern interface than Evolution.)

But Flathub's new logo is also:

a collection of things, like Flathub is
an abstract person on the left adding (➕) an app to do a thing (represented by a ▶️ play button)

The branding is "simple" and fantastic! Kudos to everyone involved!
