Charlie stopped by the house yesterday and made it very clear that attention was not optional. He parked himself on the front porch, demanded pets, and refused to leave until his requirements were met.
And no, he’s not ours.
Charlie is a well-adjusted neighborhood cat with owners who love and care for him very much. He just happens to consider the entire neighborhood part of his territory. At this point, he’s basically the unofficial Mayor of Emerald Forest.

There’s now an Apocalypse Early Warning System that tracks private jets to see if the ultra-rich are suddenly fleeing major cities.
Which is honestly the most American disaster plan possible: no public warning, no evacuation order, just a suspicious number of Gulfstreams leaving Manhattan for privately owned bunkers while the rest of us are still getting push alerts about door dash deals and mattress sales.
