@rysiek@mstdn.social We had anti-fascist (anarchist rather than libertarian) spaces aplenty in the early 2ks. Lit of squatted tech spaces in Europe anyway. I think a lot of people went either in the NGO direction, academie directikn, or dropped out of tech. I don't think fedi is anti-fascist atall tbh. Just a few curated corners of it do.some lipservice.

@rysiek@mstdn.social Yeah no 100%. Now Ihave to go shop for a new vpn provider and I paid a year upfront so.. Why are so many tech people fascists? Part od the reason I left tech a long time ago, writing was on the wall, but Uuuugh. Can't have nice things apparently.

Apparentla renewables are currently hands-down the chepest form.of energy collection. I'd love to know whether it still would be if we paid a fair price for all the conflict minerals would that still be true.

I ways get a little emotional about libraries, in a good way, I spent souch of my childhood in them. But I can't become a member of our local ones because the security they hire are anti-Black. It was the same in Winnipeg where the security at the main library were anti-Indigenous.

So it's not the library or library staff but it's the extetnal companies they hire to do door security. Which neatly absolves them from any direct responsibility.
