A handy tip to get rid of that stupid "Most Relevant" BS that #youtube is foisting on us now and go back to newest fvideos listed first (only works if you have the ublock extension).

Open the ublock extension, go to Extension Options, go to Custom Filters and enter these lines there (this also removes the Shorts from your Subscription feed, don't add the two Shorts lines if you want to keep those):

youtube.com##ytd-rich-section-renderer:has-text(Shorts)

The US is about to commit blatant warcrimes in an illegal war they started and nobody seems to be doing a damn thing to stop them. Where are the Democrats? Where is the opposition? Why aren't people marching into the White House to arrest this insane maniac before it's too late? Why isn't the world shunning the the US and calling out its evil behaviour? Nothing can justify this - It's utterly shameful, disgraceful, and horrifying.

Kinda hard to get excited about the first manned moon shot in 54 years (even if they aren't landing on it) when the US is pissing off literally everyone. (I guess when Apollo 11 happened they were in the middle of the Vietnam War too). #artemis

Is this also the first time any human is going beyond low earth orbit in all that time too?

Pretty much. There's no plan, no goals, no idea, he's just started an opportunistic war that's messed things up for everybody and now has no clue how to end it or get out of it. This is going to go on for months, I think.

(Isn't there a Next War: Iran wargame? I wonder how well that simulates what is actually going on now, e.g. the closing of the straits etc)

I don't really post much to social media anymore, but I thought I would report that after 29 years I finally watched all of #Babylon5 - I gave up during the telepath arc in season 5 when it was first shown.

Turns out that was a mistake, because it got pretty darn good after that! The Centauri story was really well done (and tragic, even though we basically knew what was going to happen).

The LotR analogies I've heard about the show held true given they gave each of the major characters a sending off at the end too :D (also "going beyond the Rim" is really obviously "sailing to the West"). And the last episode "Sleeping in Light" was really nicely done and very sad.

Though they did leave a few threads dangling... (like what happened to Bester's girlfriend, and what happened with that urn at the end)

But overall, it's a fantastic show and was really fun to watch it all again :). I'm off on vacation for a few weeks but maybe afterwards we'll watch Call to Arms and Crusade. #scifi
