@civodul This list is poorly curated. FreeBSD was included with a link to a commit I authored (without LLM use) as "evidence", because a report submitted to the security team made use of an LLM. It currently links to https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-src?tab=contributing-ov-file#quality-expectations as evidence of a permissive AI policy.

@TomAoki@mastodon.bsd.cafe @fosdembsd@mastodon.bsd.cafe @mwl@io.mwl.io Yeah, it started as a port from OpenBSD in 2017, fixing warnings and adding Capsicum. Then a bunch of fixes and new functionality over the years, finally fixing the last few issues and enabling it by default this year.
FreeBSD had a number of GPL programs in the base system userland. With the switch to BSD diff3 by default the last one has been retired. https://cgit.freebsd.org/src/commit/?id=4d5c434ed16e821003a9c2dc1c1ea245b8d0b678

@gumnos@mastodon.bsd.cafe The original RPi is armv6, which is no longer supported as of FreeBSD 15. RPi 2 is armv7 and still supported. RPi 3 and later is 64 bit.
