In December 2024, I got an email from an editor at Springer Nature. Did I perhaps have a dataset to share for an upcoming special issue on text corpora? With @klasronnback@mastodon.world and @ljo@mastodon.social I did! Today, we present an open access (thank you, library!) Data Descriptor article of the Voices of the formerly Enslaved corpus v.0.1.

Today, I went to a conference I haven't been to for at least 10 years. The Swedish Association for Professional Translators and Authorized Interpreters (SFÖ-SAT) had their annual conference, and I was a keynote speaker. My talk was about the power of language (analysis). Examples from my own research combined with some general thoughts, relevant to the audience, led to many great comments afterwards.
