@dryak@mstdn.science Static site generators are still generally command line, which isn't remotely similar to a WYSIWYG program, imo. Much higher barrier to entry, even if you only use a standard template. And that's before you get to figuring out how to use git (for GitHub/GitLab pages) or Netlify.
There is Publii, which I think is still around? GUI plus integration with free hosting. @ifixcoinops@retro.social
