It’s interesting to consider the longevity and usefulness of a device dependent upon a network. A Mac SE still maintains the same capabilities it had back in the late 80s. A Nintendo Wii is only marginally hampered with most of its network services disabled. But a modern phone is practically useless without a network. We’ll see how the current generation of game consoles fare in the future once their app stores shut down, essentially since so many games require downloads.

Finally got the last of the achievements in Colossal Cave 3D. Getting the proper order for the "Who's That?" achievement was a bit tricky, even though I've had the right idea in the past how to trigger it.

It's not easy, and it took a couple of attempts, but I have achieved a perfect score of 350 points in Colossal Cave 3D. The last time I played this game, I was 5 points short, I might have taken the instructions at the start of the game.

Or in other words, iOS developers, check out your ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/iOS DeviceSupport folder. There might be many, many gigabytes of old caches hiding in there. I had folders dating back to iOS 8.2. That one folder had over 100GB of files, and it appears that with each update to iOS, a new snapshot is taken, which can take up 5+GB each time. That quickly eats into your disk space.
Apple delivered some gifts to my older phones today with patch updates so they can keep running for a little longer!

There are many elements which make Codename: ICEMAN a challenging and frustrating, especially the RNG elements in the combat sequences. However, there is a way to avoid fighting the Alpha submarine by diving down to 2300 feet and then do...NOTHING. Just sit there, let all of the torpedoes miss, and eventually the Alpha sub will leave. Far easier than spending several antagonizing hours in a randomized fight. #Sierra #retrogaming #iceman
