@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange I appreciate how chill SDV is, but it actually gives me anxiety having that much freedom to do absolutely whatever I want without any real repercussions. I never know what I'm doing it for other than to do it. Still, quite a lovely game.

@8bitacrylic Some games don't even have to be competitive. Simply being a multiplayer game where goods and services pass between players hands can be enough to warrant anti-cheat. As devices like Steam Deck and (hopefully) the Steam Machine become more widely used, I hold out hope that the anti-cheat companies will finally bridge the divide.

@8bitacrylic Unfortunately a lot of anti-cheat still doesn't function in linux. Otherwise my one gaming rig would also be running linux. Its the only computer of mine that wasn't converted years ago.
