Finally got the email from Amazon that they'll be pulling support for my 1st Gen Kindle Touch (which still works) along with a voucher to buy another one.

Thing is, I'm already loving my new Kobo. I didn't think being able to see covers in colour would be a big deal, but it's great! And being able to check out books from the library right on the device? Fantastic.

Honestly I don't know why I stayed with Kindle so long. Thanks for giving me the push, Amazon.

It's a peaceful Easter Saturday night round these parts except for the person over the back fence with a karaoke setup singing a very passionate version of Sylvia's Mother. They're kind of knocking it out of the park.

First of all, genies are traditionally in lamps, not bottles. You may be thinking of Barbara Eden in I Dream of Jeannie. She did come out of a bottle, but then went back in again multiple times an episode. 'The genie is out of the bottle' is a lazy shambles of a metaphor and you should be ashamed of yourself.
