gah. 99% of my "restore previous session" usage in firefox is caused by Ctrl+W (close current tab) and Ctrl+Q (close application) being less than a finger's width away from each other ...

@ju@chaos.social I agree, those parts were definitely unnecessary as for the things that relate to the ZSF, just stopping to show up at scheduled meetings and silently canceling a rather big regular donation aren't exactly "nice" so I understand where the criticism comes from (while I don't agree with the form it took here)

@thomas_zahner@mastodon.social I'm not sure what you mean? they were classified as "high" initially but are "medium" now. so it looks like the severity for those GHSAs was just adjusted down after you made your screenshot.

problems with OpenSSL itself aside, I don't think it's great that as the responsible package maintainer for Fedora I have to find out about these vulnerabilities over social media - because the project only filed GitHub security advisories, but there's no RUSTSEC or CVE entries for them (yet?)

@kernellogger@hachyderm.io right now it feels like Red Hat it silently neglecting abrt but hugging it close until it's dead even announcing that they no longer want to invest in it and would hand the project over to community maintainers would be better than silently letting it die and then removing it from Fedora "because it's dead"

@alexanderkjall@mastodon.social to be fair, I had a university course where we used OpenMP in C and that was pretty nice too (#pragma omp parallel for go brrr) ... but yes, that doesn't come with any of the memory / race / thread safety guarantees that Rust + rayon comes with
