@Kels_316@aus.social Well, I'm a nerd so I'd have to explain that once matter hits the event horizon it's moving at a significant fraction of the speed of light, and sound isn't fast enough to escape because everything is now accelerating towards the black hole, including the matter required to have noise. So no, it's not noisy. If in theory you could chuck a microphone in there without it being instantly destroyed then yes, I imagine it's very noisy as every molecule is ripped apart for the fraction of a second it is able to function.

The media converter's job is to convince the low side that its actually plugged in to a network. Hilarious when the media converter power supply is nearly dead and the port starts flapping.

That I have given out few free passes to employers to treat me like crap says more about my talent and luck than it does about them. Software engineering had a brief time in the sun but for me it's just Thursday.

@hacks4pancakes... that time we had a massive explosion at a coal power plant because it was hooked up out of phase, the instrumentation was broken because it was all attached to a switchboard that instantly melted and the secondary effects were ignored because no one answered the phone for half an hour. RCA in Australia hits different, our executive class can't be made to understand.
