Pregnancy is an emotional roller coaster even when everyone is healthy. Anti choice people think they’re pro life, but they’ve been fed over-simplified propaganda—or they just don’t realize how many situations they are making unnecessarily cruel.

Can you imagine needing an emergency healthcare procedure and having to MOVE to another state beforehand? It’s intentionally cruel. 2/2

I interpreted that as “drive to another state to get the abortion and then come home”. The law is written such that she can be sued even if she had the procedure done out of state. Even if “the procedure” consists of “swallow these two pills”. (Ridiculous to drive for hours and stay overnight just to swallow a couple of pills.) 1/2

I was just thinking about the cruelty to the baby by causing it excessive pain, and to the parents for living through that… But also the treatments that are pointless and costly, on top of the costs for the birth itself, which is 5 figures because “American capitalism”.

Lawyers have been shredding women’s credibility in court for centuries (eg rape victims, Salem witch trials, etc). It is shitty and cruel, and only republicans pass laws like this.

(It isn’t clear to me whether there’s a limit to the number of people who can sue for $10k each.) So it’s bankruptcy for her. I vaguely remember that there is liability for anyone who helps her in any way. Including an Uber driver, for example.
