@paddez@mastodon.social @fiercemilder@mastodon.ie mastodon is AGPL licensed, but AP is an open spec. there’s nothing stopping a company from reimplementing. hell, loads of other free software has already reimplemented it (the fediverse is not just mastodon!). it would be trivial for FAANG to do so too
