@Hex@kolektiva.social it is also underlined by a hope that today's softpower (media, fear) and hardpower (surveillance, policing, violence) structures are more powerful, harder to avoid and evade and thus drive up the (human) costs of rioting.
So, some small fixes/updates to the #CTDP website are done. Unfortunately I'm super behind on email support and reach the point where I'm embarrassed to open the inbox. 😰

Over the last half year I supported Cimmerian_Iter on the remaster of #CTDP F1 2006 for #AssettoCorsa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJEj3FfKLmA is a nice gamemplay video and they butcher the CTDP name twice in the first 2 minutes 😆
CTDP was actually considering renaming a few times, but eventually around 2007 it was just too established and no name we came up with clicked with us. So it just stayed, even though you get "Certified Training and Development Professional" when googling these days. 😆
Ich weiß nicht was es ist, aber wenn ich in deutschen Youtube-Videos den Satz "schreibt es doch in die Kommentare" höre, krieg ich Ausschlag. Irgendwas macht es im Deutschen mehr Cringe als auf Englisch. 😖

@Merovius Possible. I'm not going to argue to "drop it!". I wanted to add to your original point: even conventional bombing for months did not create a situation in which Japanese civilians would/could make their own leadership stop the war.

@Merovius Absolutely right and even leading up to the nukes in Japan, there were months of fire-bombing Japanese cities, killing between 2-6 times as many people as the nukes themselves, and Japan's leadership would just continue the war like nothing happened. In this light, the nukes could be considered desperate measures to make the Japanese government stop the war quickly, instead of drawing it out longer - killing more.

@pathunstrom I'm not a fan of crafting or survival games, but The Planet Crafter had me hooked. It has very basic hunger/air requirement, but it's never stressfull and only surves to slow down exploration. Thus when you see something on the horizon, you wanna get to, it's a great motivation to build your base, develop equipment to get there and slowly terraform your planet.

@len it depends on the medication - ritalin/medikinet is near impossible, vyvanse is possible and I have friends who got permit last year.
And yeah, it's anti-disability legislation by accident, but nobody bothers to remove … which is also ableist :(

@len the paperwork is different involving different institutions (involving home country vs foreight country). I've read of many people travelling with the meds without permit. Of course you can if you are willing to risk it. In Japan officially it's a possible prison sentence. What is law and what is lived is not the same - the whole thing looks like it's designed TO BE broken and ignored. This is what pisses me off. NDs getting a choice to break the law or jumping through hoops.

I'll be going to Taiwan and Japan in April. My first time outside of Europe since my #ADHD diagnosis and now having to go through the paperwork to declare import of stimulants/controlled drugs.
My take away is once again, they hate us neurodiverse. They demand we conform their expectations. When we try that by medicating, they make us jump through hoops. "Oh you want an easier life, sure here is a list of things you need to do additionally … what is executive dysfunction?!" 🤮 // @actuallyadhd@fedigroups.social
