@tinker forgive if I'm coming off as unknowing, as I'm not a lawyer or an American. But isn't this superceded by section 230 of the communications act?
Or would this be part of that exclusion that states can have complimentary oversight?
Aside from this all being a technological nightmare of stupidity of course.

@hacks4pancakes@infosec.exchange I will say the conspiracy theories almost started before the event happened it seems. And a lot of misinformation.
"The President never attends these things" when they mean Trump didn't attend last time.
"They rescued Vance before trump!" Well it seems he was just closer to the edge? Dunno, the clip does seem to have a ten second delay before someone gets to Trump.
"Every time the president's popularity crashes he states an attempt at his life" is almost starting to make sense, but on the other hand he's been losing popularity since inauguration.
"It's all distraction from Iran and the files" is still the most plausible to me.
But it is all a bit weird yes. With midterm propaganda cycle going strong, the president could use a publicity boost to wrangle the MAGAns into the voting poll or use it to push even more strict laws and such.
Was it staged? Dunno. Was it a false flag? Who knows. Is it weirdly convenient? Almost certainly

@michael @mullvadnet well, in the about page: On April 23, 2026, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) introduced the Surveillance Accountability Act, which would require government searches to be conducted with a warrant based on probable cause, in accordance with the Fourth Amendment. The Ludlow Institute's founder, Naomi Brockwell, helped draft the bill in coordination with Rep. Massie's office, ensuring it is grounded in both constitutional principles and the realities of modern surveillance technology.
Those were a couple of names I wasn't expecting on a bill like this. So it could just be a money extraction scheme.

@FluentInFinance but on what capacity are we talking here? 80KWh pack? Smaller?
I'd love a link to the source if you have one.

Of bovenal dat er nog mensen in de lijn zitten die wel nadenken voor er op grote rode knoppen geduwd wordt.

@davidgerard@circumstances.run I'd probably opt for something that has a built in phono amplifier. It's not the greatest, but it makes life a lot easier to separate ground loops.
I would suggest investing in a good cleaning solution to remove as much dust crackle as possible. A brush is nice, but a good bath and an antistatic solution will help tremendously in getting a cleaner sound.

@bitsoffreedom cool!

At some point we collectively need to find the light right?

@alecaddd I will say naming doesn't help. GitHub Issues to me doesn't scream "leave positive message here" and neither does a support page as they are headed towards troubleshooting and help.
But people leave reviews for things they like, maybe that is an avenue to pursue? GitHub stars comes close.
