@hal_pomeranz@infosec.exchange I understood that so far. But what is the point of mounting the same image with different GUIDs? Why exactly would you mount them inside of the same live system w/o assigning UUID? Volume Groups inside of LVM cannot be accessed concurrently.
I am by far no expert on data forensic examination / concurrently mounting via LVM, but this is one of the fundamentals. My guess is assigning UUID manually and rescan, so the LVM groups can be reassigned. Heck, that's in fact mindboggling.
