Colto Cloud (and red.fox.yt, instafops.net, flooftube.net, etc) have been down for a few hours due to an upstream Internet outage.
The widespread outage with Mammoth Media Cloud is still ongoing and I don't have an alternative Internet peer at this stage. My status monitoring page is also unreachable.
The main Fox.yt site still works (different provider) so I'll link this post there.
Services are online internally, just not on the Internet.
Commencing the shutdown of all Colto Cloud servers to kick off the relocation this weekend!
The cloud nodes will still be up but most servers are on-prem so you'll get a lovely 503 page instead that looks like the https://Fox.yt website.
As previously communicated, these major sites are impacted and will be down until Monday:
- https://red.fox.yt (Mastodon)
- https://instafops.net (Pixelfed)
- https://flooftube.net (PeerTube)
- https://chat.fox.yt (Matrix/Element)
We've published a quick video on FloofTube to inform you all that Colto Cloud Services will be down this weekend.
The video will be unreachable during the time of the outage but the page will still give you a 503 error explaining the situation until it comes back up. :blobfoxdealwithit:
We are currently experiencing a network outage over at Colto Cloud (Fox.yt, Instafops.net, FloofTube.net).
There was previously a planned outage notification that was cancelled but it looks like they went ahead anyway.
I've updated the status page in the meantime.
