A really big take away I just want to mention here is that it helped me to feel far more grounded in open source. FOSDEM was chaos but @lgm@post.lurk.org was small enough for me to experience connection with everyone.
I more clearly understand what kinds of communications need to happen in order to make an open source project successful. I want to head to Berlin for a couple months somehow so I can do the work of making deep meaningful connections with all the folks out there.
In NYC at least it's quite challenging to find the Java Processing users, as everyone understandably uses p5.js
Speaking of p5.js maybe I want to make my own presentation software with it ;)

This is a really great talk on open code review from @alice_i_cecile@mastodon.gamedev.place . I was sitting in the front row
Ive just started swimming at the YMCA and there is a specific crew of old chinese ladies who i want to be friends with. They were definitely hanging out and didnt let me finish swimming too quickly
my wacom tablet has shipped :)
We are going to SIGGRAPH this year, come to our BoF if you can! Say hi to me regardless :)

Exploring alternative computing models and infrastructure architectures is a great way to engage in world building towards sustainable and human centered futures

Come to brooklyn web workers on the 27th: https://pools.events/event/Gogzju2d/brooklyn-web-workers-july-2026 I'll be speaking about libprocessing
It's crazy to think, but I'm, like, a real-life adult
Just downloaded maps for Austria :)

@sableraph@genart.social "Computer-aided masking" is a really effective phrase. It feels like we are moving unchecked towards a world where even the avatar's personality is algorithmically generated
I love niri and this release, but i love these release notes the most: https://github.com/niri-wm/niri/releases/tag/v26.04
i aspire...
Come hang out with @sableraph@genart.social and I at the weekly (but often cancelled but not this time) world of processing with moon discord call:

If you're not a discord user I'm sorry, we *are* looking for an alternative that is more inclusive and NOT DISCORD. Please make suggestions, I welcome them.

@lindsey@recurse.social @byorgey@mathstodon.xyz thanks for sharing this! Educators need to care about cultivating (time, space, ability) for deep thought more. Instead of tossing it all aside when the world looks like it's moving in a "inevitable" direction

Cannot stop thinking about @mitchellh@hachyderm.io's post.

@RannyBergamotte@social.garudalinux.org @sableraph@genart.social ohhh yes. i think jitsi could be a good option. i don't know if we want to move entirely off of discord just yet, but...it's definitely something we're thinking about

@neobrain@mastodon.social @sableraph@genart.social i mean i don't know if we'll be FULLY leaving discord, but at least for the video element. it is on our minds though. also HELLO :)
