@jguerra@vis.social Apologies for the delay As you suspected it is indeed jankier, I tried only 50k records So no quick fix, but I think mosaic coordinator+indexes, defaulting to duckdb-wasm backend would make this very scalable

@jguerra@vis.social Yes there are many many dom marks for many records. An option would be great! I wonder if M4 tricks point to a way to make it scaleable by reducing the number of dom marks that respond. So I got to make this commit to the calculang model on ActuarialPlayground.com I didn't mind the formality of some explicitness here. In tech terms I mainly want meaningful/intentional, practical multi-purpose models. But rapidly prototyping new insurance product features and other calculations inside the Playground, aligning this line got tiring. Goodbye, line. Hello fast expressiveness ^ How a little flirt with reactivity (a lot actually) changed a language. Redundant brackets next?! 🧱

To stress test, I stress assumptions in terms of themselves: by scaling or addition to their "original" value or calculation. Composition means you do not need to butcher models for these common modelling exercises. To refer back to original calculations you need to be careful about naming conflicts: so use import X as X_orig for instance, then you can define X in terms of X_orig A new feature in calculang lets modellers specify a default suffix applying to All overlapping imports 🧱 2/3

In calculang models, formulas are the building blocks.

And calculang models can use formulas from other calculang models.

And in that case, they can also change the building blocks in other models: for their own purposes 💥

This is all for practical reasons:
