@yorik LLMs are deeply problematic, they are enabling powerful people to build a world I don't want - however the problem here is the 'powerful people' bit. Stealing from open source software to build more open software raises a whole bunch of problems, but these are also the least of our problems. We know how to do convivial tools, quality, attribution and maintainability - we should insist on these things.

@bruces there's something distinctive about architects' design fiction - the wildly impractical shape is essential to the whole scheme, like intentional spelling mistakes in 419 spam
