But no, Americans use metric all the time. Just for smaller-scale things, mostly. A meter and a yard are so close we just use yards and kilometers are less used than miles, but every socket set you can buy comes with metric, every ruler or measuring stick, and we even use 1L bottles when a pint is almost exactly the same.
People give you side-eye if you start talking about mass, though, since that's used pretty much exclusively for drugs, prescribed or otherwise. Yes, even kilos.

@thevhswizard Totally possible; just include the world name. This will be part of a composite primary key and define a separate area of the dex for each source.
You can forget about any kind of unified dex outside of series, but by splitting it out by world (series name?) you can avoid conflicts.
The rest is as simple as including the individual graphics. GIF allows for easy palette swapping (or at least that's what I use with indexed palettes).

Just bought some Elmer's School Glue and took the cap off and wow, there really is no safety seal, is there? It's kind of weird how many things are still on the honor system. Like we're so used to everything having a tamper seal, but that really only started in the '80s. Some things like squeezable dish soap have it just for transport, but someone could legit just open all the glue bottles in the store and nobody does.

@TechConnectify This convinced me it was finally the year I'd put up a string of Christmas lights around the front window. I just pre-ordered 2 of the 5-color lights for next year (those were my childhood here in WI) and bought a string each of blue and white.
I have a... complicated relationship with Christmas, a lot of it around decorating. But it's been some years now since I played with the idea of putting up a single string of lights, just to have something. This year I upgraded to toying with a bare tree, and this vid gave me a solid small business to support and a call to action to do it.

Hey, so... I have a friend asking about installing #Mint and this is not something I can really help her with, being a Windows guy. Would someone be willing to take her under their wing for this?

Edit: So I'm seeing End of 10 recommended and it looks like it could be ideal if only anything were nearby.
So maybe a better question would be this: would it potentially be a better idea to just run something like Partition Magic and dual boot her for a bit? Because I can install an OS. I may not have installed anything but Windows, but I can blow away a partition. Unless you just heard lightning strike for this poor fool, I could probably manage that much. I just have concerns about her files.
