@mathias@sharkey.world I recently rewatched Mr Robot, with Mrs Axemonkey, who had not seen it before. I was amazed how well it held up, and also at just how prescient it was.

I screen grabbed this from somewhere, and just found it in my photos. And I can’t solve it, and it is doing my head in.

So, I have a 16-minute WAV file of a demo from a band I was in decades ago. It sounds great, but it came from a very old tape, and has a significant background hiss as well as many pops and clicks throughout.
I’d like to run this through something to get rid of those artefacts and the hiss, but of course all the tools to do this are AI-powered and cost money.
I was hoping to surprise a couple of people with this tomorrow (the band was called May Nineteen)… does anyone here have access to audio tools that will do this? Help a sista out? 🙏
