I realized I should have mentioned Passover 2020 - that was pretty bad, and getting COVID during Passover 2021 was no picnic, but this one is definitely exhausting.

On a side note this may be the most challenging Passover I've experienced as an adult, and that includes the one where my wife had un-diagnosed gallstones, and the two when I was on base, during my IDF service

Issue #2 - my daughter is diagnosed with AuDHD, her previous doctor retired. Her new doctor wants to see her every 90 days before renewing her prescription (doable, yet feels like a run around). Her new doctor sends the prescription to the pharmacy. Prescription is for brand name - requires prior authorization from insurance, so the pharmacy sends it back to the doctor's office. the doctor's office doesn't receive the note from the pharmacy, until I reach out to the pharmacy to see what the hold up is, and than call the doctor's office to fix this issue. They send the brand name prescription AGAIN. the cycle repeats for over a month. The doctor's office finally gets it right, the pharmacy says they no longer have this in stock, and I should call other pharmacies to see if THEY have it in stock, and then call the doctor's office to let them know which pharmacy to send the prescription to

I am so frustrated with the state of medicine in the US these days.

Issue #1 - my wife was hit with the FLU 2 weeks ago, happens, even with flu shots. as a complication - she gets to enjoy leg cramps to the point where she can barely sleep, this is day 15. Traditional flu symptoms went away after day 5. The only treatment the doctors are offering is some pain management which is not really helping ease her pain, and recommended rest. The pain prevents her from sleeping, so she lies frustrated in bed in a position her leg doesn't protect about, changing positions occasionally as a different part of her body protests from the previous position... We reached out to the doctors again, and their response just feels like a huge shrug.

@scalzi The challenge is adding new music, I tried last summer, for my daughter’s iPod, only to find out that it is asking for an updated iOS in order to link to my computer. I tried with a PC and with a Mac. It was too old to update new iOS…
