Have acquired proof that I was right about something I said on Usenet twenty-odd years ago and got blasted for. The triviality of the matter is attested by the fact that I haven't bothered to double check my understanding in twenty-odd years, but it has to do with phonetics.
I need a new mousepad. I love my current mousepad but I've had it for a long time and it is very worn out and dirty.

@SmudgeTheInsultCat@mas.to So, uh, this was clearly posted in reply to someone who thought it was sad for some reason, but with only the reply saying "that's not sad" surviving into the future archaeological record, future historians will forever puzzle over why anyone might have thought it was sad in the first place. I sure don't know.
